Nuggets of Truth from Nehemiah
by Ronald W Robey
What percentage of Israel’s total agricultural produce went into the Temple storehouse? Was it ten percent?
Nope..
It may shock some to find that God did not require the children of Israel to tithe any of their agricultural increase to either Tabernacle, or Temple.
Instead, they were to tithe to the Levites. The Levites then were required to bring a tithe of the tithe to the Tabernacle,… later to the Temple storehouse That’s right, it was only the Ministerial Staff that worked in the Temple who were required to tithe to the Temple. This meant that of the total population of the twelve tribes of Israel, God required only one tribe to tithe to the House of God.
If we were to follow this same pattern, it would not be the congregant who goes to Church to hear a sermon that would be required to tithe to the House of God.
Rather, it would be those who were Ministerial Staff in the Church who would be required to tithe to the Church.; i.e., teachers, musicians, treasurers, ushers, etc., etc..

But Pastors and spiritual leaders will not tell you this truth. Rather, they will spin a web of deceit in order to make you think that all of Israel was required to tithe to the Temple and therefore, you are required to tithe to the Church.
Oh what tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
Today’s monetary tithe nowhere resembles the tithe taught in the Bible
Nehemiah 10:37 (KJV) 37 And [that] we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
Nehemiah 10:38 (KJV) 38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.
The above verses reveal nuggets of truth concerning God’s Holy tithe that are not taught by most mainstream religious institutions. If they were, no doubt eyebrows would be raised in bewilderment as to how the teaching that tithes come first is even true.
