Not a Global Tithe Command
by Ronald W Robey
Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD.
The “LAND” referred to in Leviticus 27:30 is not speaking of just any geographical location in the world. It is speaking of a specific geographical location. It is speaking of the Promised Land,… the land of Canaan.
This is easily proven by reading Deuteronomy 6:1-3 & 12:1,10-11.
Deuteronomy 6:1-3 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Deuteronomy 12:1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
Deuteronomy 12:10-11 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
God said tithes were not to be observed UNTIL crossing the river Jordan and entering into the Promised Land.
The tithe of the Promised Land is the LORD’s and is holy unto the LORD.
That tithe is agricultural, not monetary,… it is crops from the gardens, fruit from the trees, and every tenth animal to pass under the rod.
God restricted His holy tithe observance within the boundaries of the Promised Land.
People need to study their Bibles.
