Six Reasons Those Who Tithe Monetary Income Are Cursed.
by Ronald W Robey

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

According to Leviticus 27:30-34, tithing is an ordinance.   When one places oneself under the ordinance of tithing, which is only for those who are UNDER the Mosaic Law, one must continue in all things written in the Law,… or one is cursed, according to Galatians 3:10.

When one submits to the ordinance of tithing, one must submit to the commands written in that ordinance. What are the commands associated with the ordinance of tithing?

1.  Leviticus 27:30-33  God’s commanded tithe must be agricultural, not monetary.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing, yet are attempting to tithe money instead of agriculture,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

2.  Deuteronomy 6:1-3; 12:1,10-11 God’s commanded tithe is not to be observed outside of the Promised Land of Canaan.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing, yet are not taking the tithe to the geographical location where God decreed His tithe is to be observed,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

3.  Deuteronomy 14:22; 26:12 God’s commanded tithe is to be eaten (proving it is agricultural, not monetary) by Levites, widows, orphans, foreigners, and even by the one who is doing the tithing with his house.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing, yet the tithe is not being eaten,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

4.  Numbers 18:21-26; Nehemiah 10:37-38 The congregation is to take God’s commanded tithe to farming communities, not to Tabernacle, Temple, Synagogue or Church.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing, yet are bypassing the command to take the tithe to farming communities,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

5.  Numbers 18:27-28; Nehemiah 10:37-38 Only physical descendants of Levi are authorized to take tithes to the House of God.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing and are not physical descendants of Levi, yet are attempting to give  the tithe to Tabernacle, Temple, Synagogue or Church,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

6.  Numbers 18:27-28; Nehemiah 10:37-38 An Aaronic Priest must be present when the congregation gives God’s commanded tithe. There are no Aaronic Priests in our churches today.  If they are attempting to obey God’s ordinance of tithing, yet do not have an Aaronic Priest present when they give the tithe,… they invite the curse of the Law upon them.

If one places oneself under God’s ordinance of tithing, Galatians 3:10 reveals that this places that one in the jurisdiction of, and under the commands contained in, that ordinance.  If one has placed oneself under the jurisdiction of God’s tithe ordinance, but is not tithing in the manner that God decreed in His Holy word, that one is transgressing the Law, and under the curse attached to the Law.

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Galatians 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Romans 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Those who have come to Christ are not under the Law.  They are not commanded by God to tithe at all.  According to Romans 7:3-4, those who are the Bride of Christ, i.e.; the Church, should not be in the House of the Law.  The Apostle Paul likens such an one that is married to Christ but goes to the House of the Law to an adulterer.  That one is seen as being “unfaithful” to Christ Jesus.

Do not be deceived by those who would place you under the jurisdiction of the Mosaic Law.  Those who are under the Law will be judged according to the Law.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Let your giving be out of a willing and cheerful heart.  Let your giving be driven by your love for God and for your fellow man.  Not dictated by others. Not coerced.
