None Are Lost

John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

In John 10:26, Jesus told the Jews that had gathered around Him that they did not believe Him because they were not His sheep. The implication is, if you are one of Christ’s sheep, you will believe that He is the Christ. You will believe that He is the Anointed One that God sent to save His people from their sin.

In John 10:27, the condition is not that we hear the voice of the Shepherd. It is not that we follow Him. The condition is that we are His sheep. He said, “MY sheep hear My voice and they follow ME”

He didn’t say they might hear His voice. He said they will hear His voice. He didn’t say that they might follow Him. He said they will follow Him.

His sheep can never wander so far that they do not hear His voice. His sheep will always respond to His voice. His sheep hear His voice and they follow Him.

So many today that claim to be sheep, believe they can walk away and lose their Salvation. However Christ tells us that it is impossible to lose our Salvation.

The Good Shepherd cares for His sheep and not one of them is lost. If one amongst the saved walks away and never returns, it is because that one was never a sheep to begin with. He may have had an outward appearance of being a sheep, when in reality… he was not a sheep at all.

Christ’s sheep will HEAR His voice and His sheep will FOLLOW Him.
