Working for the Enemy
by Ronald W Robey

On Sunday mornings, Pastors tell their congregations: “God requires you to give ten percent of your money to the Church.”

Then they pray: “God, bless these Tithes and Offerings for your work in this world. In Jesus Name. Amen.”

Sorry Pastor… but it doesn’t work like that. You can’t “LIE” on God, and then expect Him to bless the results of that LIE.

In Matthew 15:9, Jesus said: “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

The psalmist rightly sang: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me.” (Psalm 66:18)

Pastors… God is not in a lie. God does not sanction lies. God does not bless lies. Stop LYING on God. There is not one Scripture in the entire Bible… not one verse from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, that either command, or instructs, people to give ten percent of their monetary income to their local church.

When you take up those “tithes” that you have lied to the congregation about God requiring, you are not taking them up to further God’s word in the Earth… you have strayed from God’s word.

Lying is of the enemy of our souls. When you lie about monetary tithes being required of the congregation, you are working for the enemy… not for God.

For the one who has been conditioned to believe that God requires monetary tithes: Tithing money may seem to work in your favor every now and then; a new and better paying job, unexpected money in the mail, et.al.. However, we must remember… satan offers wealth and prosperity for those who believe his lies and bow to him.

To accept lies, one has to reject truth. In yielding to the pastor’s lies, you are inadvertently rejecting God.

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Take notice, those seeming “bonuses” for tithing may not be from God at all. What seems to “work” is actually working against you.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
