If Preachers Were Honest
by Ronald W Robey
If,
preachers were totally honest with their congregations about God’s holy tithe being agriculture and not money; and If,
preachers were totally honest with their congregations about God’s tithe being required of only the children of Israel; and If,
preachers were totally honest with their congregation about God saying His holy tithe was to be given to bloodline descendants of Levi; and If,
preachers were honest with their congregations about God restricting the observance of tithing to the land of Canaan; and If,
preachers were honest with their congregations about God’s tithe being given to the Levites every three years instead of every week; and If,
the Institutional Church did not teach Malachi 3:8-10 as being instruction for the New Testament Church; and If
the Institutional Church didn’t have empty envelopes labeled “TITHES” in collection plates, on tables, or in the backs of pews; and If
preachers didn’t tell the congregation that they should tithe their monetary income…
…would the congregation come up with the idea all on their own that money is to be tithed? The fact is,
if the Church Leaders were preaching exactly what God says concerning His holy tithe in the Bible; the congregation
would more than likely never get the idea that God expects them to tithe; they would know that
tithe was for Israel in the land of Canaan only. Why not
teach them voluntary giving out of a heart of love for God and the things of God instead?
