Qualifications to Receive Tithes
by Ronald W Robey

The Bible gives us two major qualifications that must be met in order for one to be eligible to become a recipient of God’s commanded tithes.

1. The recipient must be

a) a bloodline descendant of the Biblical Patriarch Levi
b) a foreigner
c) an orphan

or

d) a widow

If you are not one of the four classifications of people listed above, you are not qualified to receive God’s commanded tithes. No need to pursue the matter any further. Any attempt by you to collect tithes from people is unauthorized by God.

2. Are you living in the land of Canaan?

If you are not living in the land of Canaan, you fail to meet God’s standard to be a recipient of God’s commanded tithes. No need to pursue the matter any further. Any attempt by you to collect tithes from people in other lands is unauthorized by God.

If you meet the two major qualifications necessary to become a recipient of God’s commanded tithes, congratulations! You are authorized to receive God’s commanded tithes.

Rules and Regulations Governing the Reception of God’s Commanded Tithes for Authorized Personnel…

4. If you are of the bloodline of the Biblical Patriarch Levi, you must have a Priest from the bloodline of Aaron present at the time you receive your tithe. (ref. Num. 18:24-28; Neh. 10:37-38)

5. If you are of the bloodline of the Biblical Patriarch Levi, you must take a tithe of the tithe you receive to the Temple in Jerusalem. (ref. Deut. 14:27; Neh. 10:37-38)

6. If you are a foreigner, an orphan, or a widow you are authorized by God to consume the entire tithe yourself, and are not required by God to tithe any of that tithe to the Temple in Jerusalem. (ref. Deut. 14:28-29; 26:12)

Any deviation from the guidelines God has set forth in His word pertaining the collection of God’s commanded tithes and those who receive them is unauthorized by God.
