Obedient? or Rebellious?
by Ronald W Robey

There are many today who are taught that God’s tithe is ten percent of their monetary wages and that it is to be brought to the religious institution they attend or are a member of.

In reality, the monetary tithe requirement doctrine they have been taught contradicts what is written in the word of God.

In the last place that tithes are mentioned in the Bible, Hebrews 7:5-9, tithes are the property of the sons of Levi, and are “according to the Law”.

The Law states that God’s tithe is:

1. Restricted to the land of Canaan only. Deuteronomy 12:1,10-11
2. Restricted to agricultural crops, flocks, and herds only. Leviticus 27:30-33
3. Restricted to the bloodline descendants of the biblical patriarch Levi. (Numbers 18:21-23)

This means that

1. The Bible does not give people an option of choosing the location to give God’s tithe. God’s tithe must be observed in the land of Canaan.
2. The Bible does not give people an option of choosing the elements of God’s tithe. God’s tithe must be agricultural crops, flocks, and herds.
3. The Bible does not give people an option of choosing the recipients of God’s tithe God’s tithe must be given to bloodline descendants of the biblical patriarch Jacob.

Conclusion:
a) When you insist on observing God’s tithe in lands other than Canaan, you are rebelling against where the Bible says God’s tithe is to be observed.
b) When you insist on tithing money, you are rebelling against what the Bible says God’s tithe is to consist of.
c) When you insist on giving tithes to a man living outside of the land of Canaan, you are rebelling against who the Bible says God’s tithe is to be given to.

If you insist that God’s tithe is must be observed, at least have the decency and respect for the word of God and the God of the word to observe the tithe in the manner that God decreed that it is to be observed.

Otherwise, don’t tell me you are obeying God in the tithe. The Bible will prove you to be a rebel.
