Mission Impossible
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 29, 2018)

Good Morning Church,

Many Christians worldwide are living in poverty because of sermons being preached in religious institutions that tell them if they fail to give God ten percent of their monies to the Church, they are guilty of robbing God. We need to either confirm, or disprove the claim made by these leaders.

In Acts 17:11, the physician Luke relates how the men of Berea were deemed to be more noble than the men of Thessalonica because they didn’t just take word preached as being truth. Instead, they searched the Scriptures to make sure what was being taught them was indeed what the Scriptures say.

Your mission saints, should you choose to accept it, is to imitate the men of Berea by searching the Scriptures in order to discover if God requires tithes today. If God does require tithes today, we need you to discover why He requires tithes, what those tithes are to consist of, where those tithes are to be stored if they are required, who God requires to tithe, who has the authority to receive the tithes, and when those tithes are to be given…or paid, as the church leaders say.

If God does require tithes, you will find all the instructions concerning the why, what, where, who, and when in His instruction manual…the Bible.

As always, should you or any of your team be persecuted by the leaders of the church or by any church members for any truth you discover that proves the church leaders to be deceiving and extorting money from these impoverished Christians, God will be on your side despite the actions of those leaders.

May you be seen as a noble Church.

Impossible Task
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 29, 2018)

There are two reasons that it is impossible today to fulfill the tithe command in Malachi 3:10.

1. You cannot fulfill the tithe command because God was not speaking to New Covenant Believers in Malachi 3:10…He was speaking to the Priests of Israel. We can know this for two reasons…

a) Malachi 2:1 says that God was speaking to the Priests of Israel.

Malachi 2:1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.

There is no command found in chapter 2. The command God has for the Priests of Israel are found in chapter 3.

Malachi 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Malachi 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

God’s command is to return to His ordinances. Specifically…His ordinances concerning His tithes. God wanted His tithes to be brought to the storehouse.

b) The ordinances of tithing decreed that the congregation was forbidden to approach the structure that housed the Holy of Holies.

Numbers 18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Numbers 18:22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
Numbers 18:23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

Nehemiah 10:37 And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
Nehemiah 10:38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.

The children of Israel, aka the congregation, were forbidden to take their tithes to the House of God. They instead were to give their tithes to the Levite in the farming communities. The Levite, in turn, was to take a tithe of the tithe to the House of God in Jerusalem.

That’s right…

Only 10% of the congregations tithe went to the House of God…10% of 10%. And it was to be carried there by the Levites…not the congregation.

Back to Malachi…

God was calling for a return to His ordinances. He would not have told the congregation to return to His ordinances in verse 7…

Malachi 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

…and then told them to transgress the ordinance of tithing in verse 10…

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi was speaking of returning to the ordinances of tithing, which required tithes to be brought to the House of God, not by the congregation, but by the Levites. The Levitic Priests of Israel had removed the tithes that were brought to the storehouse by other Levites, and God wanted those tithes returned.

2. You cannot fulfill the tithe command in Malachi 3:10 because the storehouse God was speaking of was the storehouse in Jerusalem.

Deuteronomy 12:10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
Deuteronomy 12:11 Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

2 Chronicles 6:5 Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
2 Chronicles 6:6 But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

That storehouse was destroyed in AD 70 when General Titus and his armies invaded and destroyed Jerusalem.

God never commanded that man construct a new storehouse for His tithe.
Six Tithe Facts From Nehemiah
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 28, 2017)

In Nehemiah 10:37-38, God’s Prophet Nehemiah establishes six facts concerning the manner in which God’s tithe is to be observed. These facts are…

1. The fact that God’s word says the tithe is to be given to the bloodline descendants of Levi (Neh. 10:37-38)…makes it wrong to give it to Pastors who are not Levites.

3. The fact that God’s word says an Aaronic Priest is to be present when His tithe is given (Neh. 10:37-38)…makes it wrong to give tithes when no Aaronic Priest is present.

3. The fact that God’s word says that members of the congregation are not permitted to tithe to the House of God (Neh. 10:37-38) makes it wrong for the congregation to take tithes to the House of God.

4. The fact that God’s word says only bloodline descendants of Levi are to take tithes to the House of God (Neh. 10:37-38)…makes it wrong for anyone who is not a bloodline descendant of Levi to take tithes to the House of God.

5. The fact that God’s word says the congregation is to take their tithe to rural cities (Neh. 10:37-38)…makes it wrong for anyone to take their tithe to urban cities.

6. The fact that God’s word states that the congregations’ firstfruit offering and the tithe are not to go to the same building (Neh. 10:37-38) makes it wrong for members of the congregation to take their firstfruit and tithe offerings to the same building.

Nehemiah 10:37-38 And [that] we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

These facts established, we can safely list four more facts…

7. Any preacher whose sermon teaches congregants that God requires them to tithe to the religious institution they attend or are a member of is handling the word of God deceitfully.

8. Any preacher whose sermon teaches congregants that God requires them to tithe to the religious institution they attend or are a member of is lying to his congregation

9. Any preacher whose sermon teaches congregants that God requires them to tithe to the religious institution they attend or are a member of is calling the word of God a lie.

10. Any preacher whose sermon teaches congregants that God requires them to tithe to the religious institution they attend or are a member of is calling the God of the word a liar.

Who Do You Believe?
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 26, 2016)

You believe the Bible when it says “The tithe is the LORD’s; it is holy unto the LORD.”

From that point forward, instead of believing the Bible as to the what’s, who’s, why’s, where’s and the how’s,… you believe your pastor; who, unbeknownst to you, bewitches you into believing a lie.

Don’t believe me? Ask yourself these questions,…

1. What does my Pastor say the LORD’s tithe is?
2. Who does my Pastor say is required to give the LORD’s tithe?
3. Who does my Pastor say the LORD’s tithe is to be given to?
4. Where does my Pastor say to take the LORD’s tithe?
5. When does my Pastor say the Lord’s tithe is to be given?
6. Why does my Pastor say I am to tithe?

You may be surprised that I already know what many of you will answer.

No, I am not a mind reader.

But, I do know that, for the majority of you, the answers will be the same.

a) Your Pastor says the LORD’s tithe is 10% of monetary income.
b) Your Pastor says that you are required to give the LORD’s tithe.
c) Your Pastor says that the LORD’s tithe is to be given to the Church.
d) Your Pastor says that you are to bring the LORD’s tithe to the local Church you are a member of.
e) Your Pastor says that the LORD’s tithe is to come from every paycheck. (many also say it is to come from any source of money you receive; be it a gift, government check, money acquired from a sale of property, etc., etc..)
f) Your Pastor says tithe so church bills can be met and staff can be paid.

Am I right?

What if I told you that you were lied to?

No, not by me. I have nothing to gain by lying to you. It is your Pastors that have lied to you. The only thing they were truthful about is the fact that God’s word does say “The tithe is the LORD’s; it is holy unto the LORD.”

Are you willing to look to the Bible for the answers to the above six questions? It does give the answer to all these questions,… and the answers the Bible gives are completely different than what your Pastor has taught you concerning the LORD’s tithe.

1. What does the Bible say the LORD’s tithe is? Agricultural crops and livestock. (Leviticus 27:30-33)
2. Who does the Bible say is required to give the LORD’s tithe? The children of Israel. (Leviticus 27:34)
3. Who does the Bible say the LORD’s tithe is to be given to? Those who are the bloodline descendants of Jacob’s son Levi, widows, orphans and foreigners. (Num. 18:21,24-26; Deut. 14:27-29; Neh. 10:37-38)
4. Where does the Bible say to take the LORD’s tithe? To farming communities in the Promised Land. (Neh. 10:37-38)
5. When does the Bible say the Lord’s tithe is to be given? At the end of the agricultural harvest. (Deut. 14:27)  Another tithe is to be given every third year.  (Deuteronomy 14:28-29; 26;12)
6. Why does the Bible say to tithe? The children of Israel were to tithe to the Levites because the Levites had no inheritance among the other tribes of Israel. (Num. 18:23)

A careful and prayerful study of the word of God reveals that not once in its pages does God command a tithe of money. Nor does God command tithes be given to the New Testament Church. Even in the last place that tithes are mentioned in the Bible, (Heb. 7:5-9) it is not the Church that has a command to take tithes of its members. No, it is the sons of Levi who have the command to take tithes of the other eleven tribes.

You may ask, “If I am not required to tithe, what does God require of me? The answer is simple.

Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. If you love God and love your neighbor, you will please God and do what you are able to do to help your neighbor in need.

When you see a need, and are able to meet that need, do so with a cheerful and willing heart. (2 Cor. 9:7; 1 John 3:17) God will be pleased. God sets no percentage mark on what we should give. He wants us to make that conscious decision ourselves.

Your giving should not be through coercion. It should not be dictated by another person, but should be governed by your love for God and for your neighbor.

Don’t Ignore the Facts!

Why complain about The monetary tithe requirement that preachers all over the world teach their congregations?

Easy answer…

Because it is not a doctrine taught in the Bible. It is an invention of man.

God’s commanded tithe is agriculture…not money.

A better question would be why preachers lie about what God’s word says concerning His holy tithe?

The monetary tithe may be ‘spiritual’, but it is a deceiving spirit that requires it…not of the Spirit of God..

Amos 3:3 asks the question, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”.

An interesting question indeed. A question today could be asked why so many who claim to be walking with God disagree with His Word? Are they truly walking with God?

God said in Leviticus 27:30-33 that His holy tithe is agricultural. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god who says the commanded tithe is money?

God said in Numbers 18:21,24,26,28 that He gave His tithe to the Levitic tribe of the children of Israel. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god who says you are to tithe to people who are not of the Levitic tribe?

God said in Deuteronomy 6:1-3 & Deuteronomy 12:10-11 that one was not to start tithing until one crossed Jordan and entered Canaan. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that requires tithing on Gentile soil?

God said in Deuteronomy 14:22-27 that a second tithe was to be taken to a Jewish Feast and eaten by the tither before the LORD God. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that says we must tithe to our Church and nowhere else?

God said in Deuteronomy 14:28-29 that a third tithe was to be given every three years to feed the widows, the orphans, the Levites and foreigners in Israel. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that says the tithe must go to your Church?

God said in Nehemiah 10:37-38 that the firstfruits were to be taken to the Temple storehouse in Jerusalem, and the tithes were to be taken to the Levites. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that says tithes are to go to pastors on Gentile soil?

God said in Psalm 147:19-20 that His statutes and judgments were given to Israel and Israel alone. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that says the Mosaic Law is to be obeyed by all people of every nation?

God’s Word tells us in Acts 15:5,10,19-20,24,28-29 that Gentile Believers are not to be required to keep the Mosaic Law. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that demands Gentile Believers obey the Mosaic Law?

In the last chapter that tithing is mentioned in God’s Holy Word, (Hebrews 7:5-8 ) we are told that the commanded tithe is the same agricultural tithe commanded in the Pentateuch more than 1500 years earlier. Are you in agreement with God? Are you walking with Him? or are you following a god that says the commanded tithe is money?

Are you in agreement and walking with God? or have you rejected His decree and chosen your own path?

There is not one Scripture in the entire Bible where God amended His tithe command to extend to the New Testament Church. Nor is there an amendment in His Word to make the tithe a monetary tithe instead of an agricultural one.

If God didn’t amend the tithe in His Word, how can we, who are supposed to walk in the Truth as it is written in His Holy Word, say He requires tithes of money? There is absolutely no justification for such an action.

Proverbs 30:6 tells us we are not to add to God’s Word. For that reason, we cannot change the tithe that He said was to be agricultural into a monetary tithe. we cannot, in good conscience, bring a tithe that was meant for Israel alone to observe to another geographical location.

You see, you cannot just focus on the fact that God commanded a tenth, and then totally ignore what that tenth was to consist of, where it was to be taken to, to whom it was to be given, and when it was to be given. You are picking and choosing that a tithe is required, yet dismissing all other aspects concerning God’s holy tithe.

Those who teach contrary to the written Word of God are not in agreement with God and therefore, can not be walking with God.

The Bible Has the Answer
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 23, 2018)

When sharing the truth about tithing with a person in the pro-tithe camp, the pro-tither will often make statements such as, “We don’t live in Bible times, we live in the 21st Century. Pray, and ask God to tell you what He wants as tithe.”

There is one verse that contradicts both of these statements. It is found in Matthew 4:4. It says,

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Now, Matthew 4:4 alone tells us we are to believe what God said in the Bible. So, let us look into the Bible to see what God said His tithe is to consist of, shall we? The Bible says…

Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD.
Leviticus 27:31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
Leviticus 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.
Leviticus 27:33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
Leviticus 27:34 These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

Psalm 147:19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
Psalm 147:20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

It stands to reason that, if God were to tell us today that His tithe is to come from monetary income, and that it is required of the saved in Christ Jesus around the world…then God would be contradicting the Bible and we could not live by the Bible.

And yet, Jesus said man is to live by every word…not some words, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. In other words, God cannot…and will not…contradict what He has already said in the Bible.

If praying for “revelation” on what God requires concerning His required tithe yields to you any other answer than “The Bible has the answer,” then your “revelation has come from a deceiving spirit and is not from God.

So, what does the Bible say concerning God’s commanded tithes? That they are:

a). to be agricultural Lev. 27:30-33
b). to be observed in the land of Canaan Deur. 12:1,10-11
c). to come from inherited land
d) a tithe is to be given to bloodline descendants of the patriarch Levi. Num. 18:21-26

e) a bloodline descendant of the biblical patriarch Aaron must be present at the time the tithe is given to Levi’s descendants. Num. 18:24-28; Neh 10:37-38
f) if you are not a bloodline descendant of the patriarch Levi, you are not to approach the House of God with your tithes. Num. 18:21-23; Neh. 10:37-38
g) a second tithe is to be eaten in Jerusalem by the landowner who grew or raised the tithe. Deut. 14:22-26
h) a third tithe is to be given to Levite’s, widows, orphans, and strangers every third year in a seven year cycle Lev. 25:1-6; Deut. 14:27-29; 26:12

Provide Scripture
(or Stop Teaching the Lie)
by Ronald W Robey
(written November 20, 2018)

In order for the Church to honestly teach that monetary tithing is required of its congregation, it would have to provide Scripture from the Bible that emphatically states that

a) God commanded other nations than Israel to tithe
b) God requires a tenth of man’s monetary income or monetary gain.
c) God has authorized the New Covenant Church to be His Official Tithe Collection Agency
d) God has appointed New Covenant pastors as His Official Tithe Collection Representatives

Otherwise, when they preach a monetary tithe requirement doctrine, they are guilty of adding to the word of God.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
