Judgment Must Begin at God’s House

I care about souls that are dying and headed toward a devil’s hell.

I tell people about Heaven, and a Jesus that loves them. I also warn people about Hell, and a devil that hates them.

What now? Where do I send them after sharing all these truths? To an assembly of people where the leader will lie to them?

See, here’s’ the problem. Judgment must begin first “where” according to the Bible? At the House of God.

If you are going to meet in a building for religious services on Sundays and Wednesdays, you’d best make sure that the doctrines taught in it are truth. make sure that the doctrines being spoken to the hearing audience are in fact in agreement with what the word of God actually states.

Judgment must begin first at the House of God.

Now, I know that a brick and mortar building is not the House of God. The Apostle Peter was clear on that when he said,

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Did you catch that? Peter identified US as the House of God. Not the building we may meet in, but US. The House of God is a living, breathing organism. And that living, breathing organism can been in a building, under a tree, on the mountain, by a lake…anywhere. Where any two or three are gathered in the name of the Lord, He is in the midst.

But judgment must first begin with US.

It does no good to tell someone about Christ, and then send them into a den of false teachings. The hearts should be faithful and true before a guest arrives at the meeting place.

Do you invite guests to your home when it has not been dusted or swept and is looking a mess? Of course not!

So why send someone to a building where you meet with other Believer’s when leadership is deceitful? Why subject guest’s to lies and deceit? Time to clean house!

If the leadership is not teaching sound doctrine according to the word of God, remove them from leadership position and elect new leadership. Elect leadership who are willing to stand up for what is right; willing to preach the word of God and not opinion; willing to go against the flow no matter the persecution that may come….no matter how unpopular the truth may be to their ears and hearts.

We need preachers who will preach the truth. Otherwise, it does no good to invite guests to visit, or to even live among you. If your doctrines are false, you are just as dead as the guest’s you bring into your midst.
