The Great Omission

While the Great Commission is being observed by many faithful Christian missionaries all over the world, the Great Omission is being preached in religious institutions all over the world.

Whenever you hear a pastor begin to preach a monetary tithe requirement sermon, you can be sure of one thing…

…that pastor is preaching the great omission.

Pastors will tell you that “God requires tithes.” But they omit the fact that God only required the children of Israel and the Levitic tribe to tithe. (Leviticus 27:30-34)

Pastors also omit the fact that the psalmist said that the commands that God gave to Israel were not given to any other nation. (Psalms 147:19-20)

Pastors will tell you that God said to bring all the tithes into the storehouse, but they omit the fact that the tithes God was speaking of were to be agricultural. (Leviticus 27:30,32)

Pastors also omit the fact that the storehouse that God was referring to was in Jerusalem. (1 Kings 6:1-7)

Pastors also omit the fact that God was speaking to the Levite Priests of Israel and not the congregation when He said to bring all the tithes into the storehouse. (Malachi 1:1, 6-7; 2:1)

Bringing us to their next omission…

…Pastors omit the fact that God said the congregation was forbidden to even go near the House of God with their tithes under penalty of death. (Numbers 18:21-22; Nehemiah 10:29,37-38)

Pastors also omit the fact that it is only the tithe of the tithe, (10% of 10%) that God requires to be taken to the House of God. (Nehemiah 10:29,37-38)

Pastors also omit the fact that God only commanded the Levitic tribe to tithe to the House of God. (Numbers 18:21-22; Nehemiah 10:29,37-38)

Pastors also omit the fact that the tithe required of the congregation was not the property of the House of God, but rather the inheritance of the tribe of Levi. (Numbers 18:21-26)

Pastors will say that God requires man to tithe. Yet they omit the fact that those that God commanded to tithe were also told that the place to take their tithe is somewhere in the land of Canaan. (Deuteronomy 12:10-11)

Yes, monetary tithe requirement sermons are the great omission, for the pastors that preach it omit the majority of what God said in His word concerning His commanded tithe and interject their own opinions that contradict the word of God into the majority of their sermon.

Does your Pastor teach tithing in your church assembly? If so, how many of the above biblical truths about God’s commanded tithe is he omitting?
