Some Pastors are Like IRS Scammers
by Ronald W Robey
(written January 24, 2019)

Some pastors are like IRS Scammers.

IRS Scammers will call you in hopes that you are clueless as to the IRS Tax laws. Some Pastors will preach to you in hopes that you are clueless as to God’s tithe laws.

IRS Scammers will tell you that you have a debt of back-taxes you must pay or they will freeze your bank account and assets.
Some Pastors will tell you that you have a debt of tithes you must pay or God will ruin your job, your home and your finances.

IRS Scammers get mad when you expose their back-taxes lie.
Some Pastors get mad when you expose their tithe lie.

IRS Scammers won’t give you a legit address where you can investigate whether you owe back-taxes or not.
Some Pastors won’t give you legit information so you can find out the truth about tithes.

IRS Scammers are not really collecting taxes for the IRS
Pastors are not really collecting tithes for God.

The IRS has not authorized the IRS Scammers to call you and demand money from you.
God has not authorized Pastors to demand ten percent of your money.

Anger Impedes the Mind
by Ronald W Robey
(written January 18, 2022)

There is a Latin phrase that says, “Impedise Ira Animum, ne possit cernere verumTraslation: Anger impedes the mind from being able to perceive the truth.

The reason so many do not see the truth about God’s commanded tithe when it is presented to them is simply because they have allowed anger to impede their minds so much that they refuse to see the truth. The truth attacks their pastor and their mistaken belief…

…and they can not, and must not allow that to happen.

Their anger demonstrates a mind that is not of God, but a mind controlled by an evil heart. If they claim to be of Christ anger should not be controlling their minds, but a hunger for truth and a love for truth should be the controlling factors.

God’s word says that the command to tithe was given for the children of Israel. (Leviticus 27:30-34) When presented with this biblical truth you should reject the pastor’s doctrine that the command to tthe was given for the saved in Christ.

God’s word says that His commanded tithe was to be agriculture and agricultural food by-products. (Leviticus 27:30,32; Deuteronomy 12:17) When presented with this biblical truth you should reject the pastor’s doctrine that God’s commanded tithe is to be monetary.

God’s word says that the only people God commanded to tithe to the House of God is the tribe of Levi. (Numbers 18:21-24; Nehemiah 10:29,37-38) When presented with this biblical truth you should reject the pastor’s doctrine that Christians are to bring tithes to the House of God.

To reject the word of God is to reject God Himself. For if you will not listen to Him, you are not walking with Him.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Psalm 119:140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Stop Tithing, Start Studying
by Ronald W Robey
(written January 17, 2022)

While there is an ordinance of tithing in the Bible, no one today is obeying the commands that are written in that ordinance. And because they are not, (though they may be attempting to obey the ordinance of tithing) they are guilty of not tithing at all. (see James 2:10)

This means that, though you may be sliding ten percent of your monetary income in that tithe envelope (thereby transgressing the ordinance that says God’s tithe is to be agricultural crops, flocks, and herds; Leviticus 27:30,32) and dropping it in the church collection plate (thereby transgressing the command that the congregation is not to go near the House of God with their tithes; Numbers 18:21-24; reaffirmed in Nehemiah 10:29,37-38)…

…you are doing so in vain.

God doesn’t recognize it as His tithe, for it is

a) not what God said His tithe is to consist of
b) not being given to whom God said tithes are to be given
c) not being given where God said His tithes are to be given

Maybe it’s time you stop attempting to tithe and start studying what God said concerning the observance of His tithe.

The word “tithe” in relation to God’s commanded tithe appears only 14 times in 13 verses of the Bible. (Lev. 27:30,32; Num. 18:26; Deut. 12:17; Deut. 14:22,28; 2 Chr. 31:5; Neh. 10:38; Neh. 13:12; Matt. 23:23; Lk. 11:42)

The phrase “a tenth” in relation to a voluntary tithe is found only 1 time in 1 verse in the Bible. (Heb 7:2)

I encourage you to study all of the above verses in their proper context. I only ask that, as you go into your study of the verses, you as if you are ignorant of

a) what God’s commanded tithe is
b) who God said are required to tithe
c) to whom God said His tithe is to be given
d) where God said tithes are to be observed
e) when God said His tithe is to be given
f) why God’s tithe is to be given

Go into the study with the mindset of one that has never heard of tithing before.

Don’t go into the study with a preconceived belief that God requires you to give Him a tenth of your monetary income and to take that tenth to your local church building. For if you do, you will not be able to see or understand exactly what God’s word is saying concerning the observance of His holy tithe.

Studying the Bible with a preconceived mindset is not studying the Bible.
