Truth Be Told

by Ronald W Robey

You cannot ignore the fact that God said His holy tithe is to come from agriculture and agricultural food by-products, (see Lev. 27:30,32; Deut. 12:17) and say that tithing is between you and God…

…you are leaving God out of the equation altogether.

You cannot ignore the fact that God said to move to the land of Canaan and then there will be a place to take your tithes, (see Deut. 12:10-11) and then say that tithing is between you and God…

…you are leaving God out of the equation altogether.

You cannot ignore the fact that God said only bloodline descendants of the biblical patriarch Levi are to tithe to the House of God, (see Num. 18:21-23; Neh. 10:38) and then say that tithing is between you and God…

…you are leaving God out of the equation altogether.

You cannot ignore the fact that God said that only the tithe of the tithe is to go to the House of God, (see Neh. 10:38) and then say tithing is between you and God…

…you are leaving God out of the equation altogether.

You say that tithing is between you and God, but truth be told God has no say-so in your tithing decision whatsoever. You say you are obeying God in the tithe, but truth be told you are not obedient in the tithe at all.

You are doing things YOUR way, not God’s.

Greener Pastures

by Ronald W Robey

Funny how pastors used to preach, “You aren’t to send your tithes. You are to bring them as Malachi 3:10 says. Sending the tithes is not obeying God.”

Now their message is that you are to disregard the command to bring tithes in Malachi 3:10. “ You no longer have to bring the tithes. You can send them electronically.”

If tithes are required by God (they’re not) pastors now have you disobeying the verse that they used to preach that you were to obey. (of course, if you study what the Bible says concerning God’s commanded tithe you would come to realize that pastors have had you disobeying God all along)

In Malachi 3:10 God was telling the corrupt Priests of Israel to bring agricultural tithes that they had stolen from the Temple at Jerusalem back to the Temple. He was not saying that monetary tithes are to be brought to church buildings all over the world. So in order to obey the instruction written in the text of Malachi 3:10 you need to take agricultural tithes to the Temple in Jerusalem. (good luck finding that) Otherwise, you are not obeying God’s tithe instructions at all.

Pastors have been selling you their tithe lie for too long. Allow God to lead you to greener pastures.

Tithing by Definition

by Ronald W Robey

(written February 5, 2022)

The word “tithe” has two definitions; “tenth” and “tenth part”. We see both definitions employed in the texts of Leviticus 27:30,32.

Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD.

In Leviticus 27:30 we see the definition “tenth part” employed. The tithe was to be the tenth part of agricultural crops and their food by-products.

Leviticus 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

In Leviticus 27:32 we see the defintion “tenth” employed. The tithe was to be the tenth animal in sequence to pass under the rod.

Not one verse in the entire Bible says that God required man to give Him 10% of his monetary gain. However, for the sake of an argument, if monetary tithes are required, then one could use either of the two definitions above to govern his tithing since there is no biblical instruction that says a tithe of one’s money must be regulated by one of those definitions; i.e he could

a) give the tenth part (10%) of his money as a tithe

b) count up to the tenth bill in his wallet and pull that particular bill as his tithe. So even if he had $901 in his wallet, if he counted the bills in numerical order and the tenth just happened to be the $1 bill, and he dropped it in the plate…

…he would have given a tithe.

Tithe on $199 would not be $10 unless the tenth in numerical sequence happened to be that $10 bill.

But since the Bible nowhere says that God requires man to give Him 10% of his monetary gain, the tenth bill in numerical sequence or the tenth part of all the bills added up would be man’s option, not God’s requirement.

God is not going to get offended at or curse one for not giving monetary tithes. He is not going to exclude them from His eternal Kingdom if they fail to give Him 10% of their money. He is not going to send someone to Hell because they fail to tithe their money.

Salvation rests solely on the work of Jesus, our belief on His name, and His finished work on the cross. If one is tithing in order to enter Heaven, he surely will end up in Hell. (if he fails to repent) For we cannot gain Salvation through any work other than belief in Christ.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
