Has your Church introduced to its members the “90 Day Tithe Challenge”? If so, don’t fall for it. It is just a gimmick to trick you into departing with your money.

I have seen the Tithe Challenge Form. I even have a copy of it. It is a joke. Pastors who use this form can use any kind of excuse for not giving the money back after the 90 days is over. The challenge simply says,

“We commit to you, that if you tithe for 90 days and God doesn’t hold true to His promises of blessing, we will refund 100% of your tithe. No questions asked.”

What was the blessing promised in Malachi 3:10? It was not money, so if the tither is not blessed with money, no surprise. The blessing promised is rain. The windows of heaven will open and I will pour out a blessing. Remember the first time the windows of heaven is mentioned in the Bible? Rain fell and flooded the Earth. And when the windows of Heaven closed, the rain stopped. (see Genesis 7-8) In Malachi 3, God’s promise for bringing the tithes into the storehouse was rain so that crops would grow in abundance. The promise was not for better business at the office, health for the family, wealth for the pocketbook…it was simply rain.

So if rain falls one time in those 90 days, the pastor can say that God kept His promise. You’ve lost your money.

Of course, the pastor will not tell you that the promise was rain. He will instead say things like,

“You are still alive, so God has blessed you”
“You were not in that accident that killed three people last week, so God has blessed you”
“Your house did not burn down”
“You did not lose your job when there was a lay-off”
Your house was not broken into”
“Your children are all healthy”

You get the picture…they will try to convince you any way they can, to believe that God was faithful to His promise that if you would give a tenth of your monetary income He would bless you.

That’s right… you’ve lost it. You fell for a con artist’s sales pitch that guaranteed that he would walk away the winner and you would be left less ten percent of your money.

Don’t fall for the “90 Day Tithe Challenge.” It is not of God. The instruction to bring all the tithes into the storehouse found in Malachi 3, and the blessings associated with those tithes, were for the Priests of Israel…they had absolutely nothing to do with the church you attend in another geographical location. God never authorized the church you attend to be His Official Tithe Collection Agency. Nor did God appoint your pastor to be His Official Tithe Collection Representative. The monetary tithe doctrine being taught in religious institutions around the world today is found nowhere in Scripture. It is an invention of man and not of God.

2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 Corinthians 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
